We have 2 types of Vitamin C: The conventional ascorbic acid and the natural vitamin C. 

Vitamin C is an important nutrient to boost immunity.  Besides that it is an antioxidant and it is good to beautify the skin. 

In today's living, we need at least 1000mg of Vitamin C daily for adults. For children, the amount of vitamin C needed is dependent on age.
